IN THE CUP

Fruity rooibos layered with elderberry, rosehip, and rose petals, with lavender providing a soft, sweet finish. The cup is a deep reddish orange. Floral without being perfumed. Gentle and round. No caffeine, so the late chapter won't cost you the morning.

Pairs well with: reading that asks something of you. Sugar and milk welcome. Lemon, no.

WHERE IT COMES FROM

The rooibos is from the Cederberg region, South Africa. Elderberry from Varna, Bulgaria. Camomile and rose from the Nile Delta and Fayoum, Egypt. Lavender from Provence, France — the region the blend is named for.

All ingredients are certified organic by Pro-Cert Organic Systems (USDA NOP, EU, COR, JAS equivalency). Ethical Tea Partnership certified.

THE PACKAGING

The pouch is a kraft paper stand-up bag from Enviro Flex Pack — natural kraft paper exterior, metallic cellulose interior, plant-based throughout. No plastic. The zipper is compostable too.

It's certified compostable to ASTM D6400 standards and carries OK compost home certification. Realistically, industrial composting will break it down more reliably than a backyard pile — the lamination is thick, and home conditions vary. If you have access to a commercial composting facility or a municipal drop-off, that's the better end-of-life. If not, it will still compost at home, just more slowly.

The label is an EcoEnclose sticker printed on 100% post-consumer waste kraft paper. Recyclable with the pouch when composted or disposed of together.
